Senior sprinter, Atiya Harvey, had a very busy week for the Gators. Running in both the Mt. Sac Relays and the Beach Invite, she continued her personal assault on the Gator’s record book. She began the week taking 17th in the 100m dash at the prestigious Mt. Sac Relays, the top finisher among all Division II athletes in the crowded event, she crossed the finish line with a then school record time of 11.83 seconds, breaking her week old mark. She also helped the Gators take seventh in the 100m dash. On Saturday at the Beach Invitational hosted by Long Beach State, she did it again, breaking two school records. In the 100m dash she broke her own mark, with a time of 11.80 seconds, improving her provisional mark to the 14th fastest time in the nation. She followed that up by breaking a five year old school record in the 200m dash, crossing the line with a time of 24.01 seconds, which was good enough for 10th overall and the ninth fastest time in the nation.
