SAN RAMON, Calif..— San Francisco State's senior center
AJ Kahlon has been named the CCAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 14-20 as announced by the conference office this morning.
Kahlon started his weekend scoring a career night scoring 28 points and grabbing  23 rebounds in the Gators' 99-93 triple overtime victory over the defending NCAA Division II West Region Champions, Western Oregon Wolves.  Kahlon scored seven of the Gators' nine points in the third overtime to secure the important region win for the Gators. Â

The senior center came back the next night to record his third double-double of the season by scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the Gators' 86-62 win over Concordia-Portland. Â He averaged 20.5 points and 16.5 rebounds, was 15-for-18 from the field and went 11-for-13 from the line while blocking five shots.

For the season, the Stockton native is averaging 14.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while shooting 74.2% from the field for the 4-0 Gators. He is also averaging 2.5 blocked shots per game to go along with his 80% shooting from the charity stripe.Â

San Francisco State will return to the court this weekend when the Gators participate in the NDNU Thanksgiving Classic in Belmont, Calif., on November 25 and 26. This Friday, the Gators will face Holy Names University at 5pm. The next evening, they will take on Notre Dame de Namur University at 7pm.Â
