SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco State men's basketball team continues its climb north in the D2Sida West Region Poll.  The Gators have moved into a tie at second with Western Washington in the sixth poll of the year.

Receiving 50 points, the Gators are tied for second with Western Washington.  It is the highest San Francisco State has been ranked in this poll which dates back to 2013.  In first place again this week is Cal Baptist with 55 points.  The poll is voted on by Sports Information Directors of the three conferences represented in the West Region (CCAA, GNAC, PACWEST).

San Francisco State is off to a program-best 10-0 start.  In the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) they are 3-0 after defeating rival Sonoma State last weekend at the College of Marin.

The Gators went 2-0 last week, following their 65-63 win over rival Sonoma State.  SFSU made history with a 102-59 win over visiting Simpson on Saturday night.  With the win, the Gators surpassed the 1941-42 team for the most wins to start the season.  The Gators had 11 players record a bucket in the win, with six players finishing in double figures.

San Francisco State returns to action on Sunday when they host Humboldt State at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Gym at the Don Nasser Family Plaza.
