AUSTIN, Texas – No. 9 San Francisco State track & field student-athlete
Devanique Brown has been named to the 2018 Google Cloud NCAA Division II Academic All-District Track and Field First Team.
The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District Team, selected by
CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Brown is the CCAA Champion in the Heptathlon and became the first All-American in the event in program history at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The junior notched the second-most points in Gator history at the NCAA Championships in the Heptathlon with 4,974. She took first in shot put with a personal-best 13.29m and placed fifth in javelin with a 34.50m en route to All-America honors. A Broadcasting and Electronic Communication Arts major, Brown boasts an exemplary 3.96 GPA.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America
® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in June.
