SF State’s head women’s basketball coach Joaquin Wallace participated in the Achieving Coaching Excellence (ACE) professional development program for ethnic minority basketball coaches that took place June 15-18 in Indianapolis. San Francisco State women’s volleyball head coach Michelle Patton has announced the addition of seven talented recruits for the 2010 season. This year’s signing class includes a mix of four high school seniors, two junior college players and one NCAA Division I transfer. San Francisco, Calif.--- A total of 101 student-athletes or about 42 percent of the student-athletes at SF State earned at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average this past Spring semester while passing a minimum of 12 units to be recognized as SF State Athletics’ Department Honor Roll members. Additionally, 69 student-athletes were also named to the Dean’s List at SF State or 22 percent of the student-athletes. SF State junior Kendra Wood finished her junior season ranked 11th in the nation in saves according to the 2010 Final NCAA Division II Statistics Report that was released today. SF State senior pitcher Pat Haugen (Cayucos, California, Cuesta College) finished his senior season ranked fifth in the nation in strikeouts with 114 according to the 2010 Final NCAA Division II Statistics Report that was released last week. Haugen also finished 15th in the nation with his 15.67 strikeouts per game average.
