Setter Iris Tolenada recorded two double-doubles this weekend, leading the Gators to consecutive upsets over 24^th-ranked Cal State East Bay and No. 11 UC San Diego. The SF State sophomore totaled a combined 110 assists (55 per match) and 37 digs (18.5 per match) to go along three kills, five service aces and two blocks assists. Against East Bay on Friday, Tolenada dished out 48 digs, scooped up 15 digs and served up a match-high four aces as the Gators rallied to capture the final three sets in a 3-1 win over the Pioneers. The following evening against UCSD, Tolenada posted career-high numbers of 62 assists and 22 digs while finishing with two kills and two blocks assists, helping SF State overcome a huge 2-0 deficit in sets in a 3-2 conquest of the Tritons. With her performances, Tolenada, the 2009 CCAA Freshman of the Year, now has three double-doubles (assists-digs) on the season and ranks second in the conference with an average of 10.58 assists per set (381 total).
