Middle hitter Robyn Hall played a huge role in the Gators’ 1-1 week, blasting 34 kills to go along with 11 digs, four service aces, four total blocks and three setting assists in two home matches vs. Cal State Stanislaus and Chico State. Against Stanislaus on Friday, Hall posted 11 kills (2.75 per set), four digs, two service aces and two setting assists to help SF State complete the season sweep of the Warriors in a four-set victory. Then on Saturday vs. Chico State, the Gator junior fell just one kill short of her career best, launching a match-high 23 kills (4.6 per set) while contributing seven digs, four blocks (1 solo, 3 assists) and one setting assist in SF State’s tough five-set loss to the Wildcats. With her effort, Hall has reached the double-digit kill plateau in eight of her last 11 matches, helping SF State ensure itself of back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1987 and 1988.
