The senior co-captain has played a major role in the Gators’ success this season as he proved again this weekend. In the Gators’ 73-55 win at Cal State LA on Friday, Hoskins did not miss a shot as he went 8 of 8 from the field including 1 for 1 from three’s and 1 of 1 from the line. He also grabbed 9 rebounds while dishing out three assists and recording two steals. Then in the Gators’ near upset of No. 15 Cal State Dominguez Hills, Hoskins scored a career high 26 points by going 10 of 16 from the field including 3 of 6 from three’s and 3 of 3 from the line. He also had four assists, three rebounds, and two steals. For the weekend, he averaged 22.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals while posting a +1.8 assist to turnover ratio. Hoskins also shot 75% from the field including 57% from three’s.
