Nic Banaugh improved to 3-2 as he shutdown the red hot Cal Poly Pomona Broncos on Saturday afternoon with a three-hit complete game shutout. Banaugh has not let a run score in the last 14 innings he has pitched in dating back to the Gators’ 4-3 win last Sunday against CSU San Bernardino. In the Gators’ 1-0 win over the Broncos, Banaugh struck out 6 batters and walked three while giving up just three hits (all singles). He now has a 3.11 earned run average with 34 strikeouts and 14 walks in 55 innings pitched.
