Zuleima Jimenez captured the individual title at the Sonoma State Invitational in Santa Rosa, Calif., crossing the finish line with a 6K personal-best time of 21:57; becoming the just the third runner in SF State history to eclipse the 22-minute mark, along with Anna Bretan (2008 – 21:52) and Shannon O’Connor (2002 – 21:55.16). With her performance, Jimenez has come away with top-five finishes in each of her first three races as a Gator after placing third at the Notre Dame de Namur Invitational on Sept. 3 and fifth at the University of Washington’s Sundodger Invitational on Sept. 17.
