Middle hitter Halimah Oswald played a key role this past weekend in SF State’s victories over Cal State Stanislaus and Chico State. The Gator senior hit at a stellar .446 clip in two matches, knocking down 35 kills (4.23/set) on 65 attempts with just six errors. Oswald was also a force on defense, finishing with six total blocks (two solos, four assists) (0.75/set) and nine digs (1.13/set). Against Cal State Stanislaus on Friday, the San Francisco native posted a sparkling .484 attack percentage, knocking down a match-high 18 kills to go along with five digs, one setting assist and one block assist as SF State rolled to a four-set victory. The following night against Chico State, Oswald continued her hot hitting with a .412 attack percentage, collecting a match-high 17 kills, while adding five total blocks (two solos, three assists), four digs, one service ace and one setting assist to help the Gators defeat the Wildcats for just the second time in 14 meetings dating back to 2001
