By virtue of their top-15 finishes, SF State's Ernesto Rodriguez and Bruk Assefa landed on the all-CCAA men's squad, while leading the men to their highest finish ever at the CCAA Championships, placing second out of eight schools with 67 points, trailing only Chico State, which captured its 10^th straight league crown with 16 points.

Leading the pack was Rodriguez, who completed the course in 14^th at 26:35.7, followed immediately by Assefa, who placed 15^th with a 26:36.5 clocking
