Kylie Herrada earned all-tournament honors at the prestigious Tournament of Champions in Turlock, Calif., last weekend after posting the highest batting average (.688) among regulars in the 24-team field, while adding three doubles, four runs scored and a stolen base. The senior from Gilroy, Calif., helped the Gators establish a new tournament record with a .368 team batting average as SF State finished with a 4-2 record on the weekend, featuring an appearance in the bronze bracket semifinals. Against Northwest Nazarene on Saturday, Herrada hit one of SF State's tournament recording-setting seven doubles and scored the go-ahead run as the Gators recorded a thrilling 10-8 victory over the Crusaders. She also tallied the eventual game-winning run the previous evening in SF State's come-from-behind 5-4 triumph over Notre Dame de Namur.
