The two-time All-American went 5-0 this past weekend to improve to 21-5 on the season.  The fourth ranked wrestler in the nation at 141 started off the weekend with a 4-3 decision over Cal Baptist's Bradford Gerl in the Lancer's 22-19 dual win over the Gators on Friday. 

Then on Saturday, Bagheri captured the California Collegiate Open title at 141 by going a perfect 4-0.  He started off the day with a win by fall at 2:27 over Southern Oregon's James Bower for his third win by pin this season.  He proceeded to claim a 12-1 major decision victory over Colt Shorts from Cal Poly to propel himself into the semi-final round. Facing off against Anthony Vega from Simpson, Bagheri picked up his third consecutive win of the day with a 9-1 final score to head into the finals. For the championship, Bagheri registered two takedowns, an escape and a riding time point to win by decision at 6-1.
