Franklin was instrumental in SF State’s come-from-behind 24-23 victory over Division I UC Davis on Jan. 24. With the Gators trailing 10-9, Franklin notched six crucial points with a pin of John Thurston in 6:25, putting SF State ahead for good at 15-10. With his win, Franklin has now won five straight bouts and seven of his last eight, raising his record to a team-best 17-8 overall. He is also tied for the team lead with four pins on the year.
