Ashley Jackson played a key role in the Gators' 5-2 win as she went 4-0 for SF State, who is 8-2 in its last 10 games. Jackson started off the week pitching a four-hit complete game in the Gators' 6-2 win over Western Washington on Tuesday. She struck out five and walked two while giving up four hits and two runs.
Then in the Gators' 3-1 extra-inning win over Central Washington in the first game of the Tournament of Champions on Friday, she struck out a school record 16 batters and walked two in eight innings while giving up six hits and one run.
In the Gators' 1-0 win over Western Oregon, she struck out five while giving up five hits in seven innings of works. She finished the week striking out 12 and walking one in the Gators' 7-0 win over Notre Dame de Namur.
For the week, she went 4-0 while posting a 0.72 earned run average with 38 strikeouts and five walks in 29 innings of work. Jackson was the Tournament's Top Pitcher and also was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
