Williams led the Gators to a 2-0 start with non-conference wins over Academy of Art and Dominican. After scoring 13 points and grabbing seven rebounds in a 37-point blowout of ART U, the senior center had a career night in a victory over Dominican. Williams had 16 points, nine rebounds, five blocks, and three steals, which were all career highs. He was also named Tournament MVP.
