Vallejos started her collegiate career off with a bang this weekend, hitting .727 (8-of-11) with six runs scored and two batted in. She opened up Desert Stinger with a 4-for-4 performance against Azusa Pacific with three runs scored and two stolen bases. In the finale against Hawaii-Hilo, she went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and hit her first collegiate home run as the Gators went 3-0. The utility player earned herself All-Tournament Team honors for her performance, and was one of just two freshmen to earn that plaudit.
