    Assistant Coach - Sprints
Dalton joined the Gator coaching staff in 2019. In her first season, she was named the USTFCCCA West Region Assistant Coach of the Year as well as the National Assistant Coach of the Year. Under Dalton's tutelage, the sprinters played a huge role this season as the Gators defended their CCAA Championship title and took fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which was a program-best finish. At the CCAA Championships, SF State took gold in the 200m, 400m, 100m hurdles, 4x100 and 4x400 and accounted for 93 of the 182 points. At NCAAs, The Purple and Gold were National Champion runner-ups in the 4x100, 4x400 and in the 100m hurdles while also garnering All-America status in the 200m and 400m. SF State tallied a program-best 42 points, and 38 of those came from the sprinters. 

A graduate of USF, Dalton holds five school records and served as team captain for three seasons starting her sophomore year and helped develop a strong sprint team. Dalton recently competed in the 2018-19 Sprint Carnivals in Tasmania, Australia where she won the 120m Burnie Gift. She is still training to pursue a professional career and will also earn her Master’s in Higher Education & Student Affairs

A Detroit native, Dalton started her track career at Detroit Renaissance High School where she quickly gravitated to sprints and became a state qualifier all four years. Dalton gained many accolades in track & field in high school, including USATF National 400m Intermediate Champion in 2011.
