San Francisco, Calif.---- With their 2-0 win over the visiting Humboldt State University Lumberjacks (8-8-1, 4-6-1 CCAA), the SF State Gators moved closer to clinching a spot in the four-team CCAA Soccer Championships that start on November 7 in La Jolla, California. SF State remains in first place in the CCAA North Division, three points ahead of Sonoma State who defeated CSU Monterey Bay 5-1 this afternoon.

“We stuck to our game plan like glue that we have been working on all week,” said SF State Head Coach
Jack Hyde. “This was the best game that we have played all season,” added Hyde.
SF State dominated the match recording 14 shots to the Lumberjacks' seven including 10-4 in the first half. The Gators (11-6-2, 9-3-1 CCAA) also had eight corner kicks to Humboldt State's one.
