San Francisco, Calif.---- With their 2-0 regular season home finale win over the visiting Sonoma State Seawolves (13-4-1, 8-3-1 CCAA), the SF State Gators clinched at least a share of the CCAA North Division Title. The Gators finished the regular season with a 12-6-2 overall record and a 10-3-1 record in the CCAA.
Sonoma State still has two games left in the regular season at home against Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus. The Gators are six points ahead of the Seawolves in the CCAA North standings going into the final week. SF State did receive a berth in the CCAA Soccer Championship for the first time in school history, which will begin on November 7 in La Jolla, California.
“We played extremely well this weekend,” said SF State Head Coach
Jack Hyde. “We pressured early and took some chances which we converted on for our two goals,” added Hyde. “This was a great day for the four seniors and also a great team win.”

Zoila Marquez (Salinas, California, North Salinas), her fourth of the season, scored the game's first goal in the seventh minute from 25 yards out off a ball from
Lauren McAulay (Pasadena, California, LaSalle). The game remained 1-0 Gators until five minutes into the second half, when
Morgan Davison (Arlington, Virginia, Radford University) connected on a header off a corner kick by
Lauren Candia (Novato, California, University of San Francisco) to give the Gators a 2-0 lead. This was
Davison's second goal in the last two games.

The Gators out-shot the Seawolves 10-9 including 6-3 in the first half and also had a 5-3 advantage on corner kicks.
Emily Hart (Racho Santa Margarita, California, Tesoro) had three saves en route to her 6
th shutout of the season for SF State while Courtney Grixti had two in goal for Sonoma State.

The 12 wins ties the Gators for the most by a women's soccer program at SF State and is the most since the 2003 season. SF State, who is fifth in last week's NCAA Division II West Region poll, will now have a week until the CCAA Soccer Championships.
