Lauren Duran (Poway, California, Poway) with a little under six minutes left in the second overtime to give the SF State Gators the 1-0 victory over the visiting Central Washington Wildcats (0-2) in their home opener at Cox Stadium. The Gators led by goalkeeper
Annicia Jones (Sacramento, California, West Campus) posted their second straight shutout and also played their second straight overtime game.

Jack Hyde. “We had an excellent weekend capped off by this afternoon's victory.”
The Gators (1-0-1) out-shot their visitors 18-8 including 8-1 in the two overtime periods. Jones had two saves in goal for SF State while the Wildcats' Kori Butterfield had five in goal for Central Washington.
The first half was evenly played as each team recorded five shot attempts, but the Gators outplayed their visitors in the final 59 minutes to take the 1-0 victory.
SF State will continue their three-game home stand this Friday with a CCAA game at 3pm against the Warriors of Cal State Stanislaus.
