Box Score SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.--- SF State women's soccer team began their 2011 season playing in five straight overtime matches and ended it this afternoon with a 1-1 double overtime at Cal State San Bernardino.
Annicia Jones recorded a season high 11 saves including three in the final minute to preserve the 1-1 tie.
Michelle Kay connected on the game-tying goal with five minutes left off a ball from Kiley Willams to send the match into the extra-periods.
“The girls battled back from a 1-0 deficit in the final minutes of the match,” said SF State Head Coach
Jack Hyde. “It was an exciting overtime as Annicia (Jones) came up big with three saves in the final minute of the match.”
The Coyotes (9-6-3, 7-6-3 CCAA) controlled the first half outshooting SF State 11-3 including 3-1 on shot on goal attempts.
Kristina Gomez went to the put the hosts on top in the second minute, but Jones recorded one of her 11 saves. Then three minutes later Gomez's attempt to give Cal State San Bernardino the early lead was blocked by SF State's defense.

th minute went high. Then 11 minutes later, Williams' attempt to give the visitors the lead was stopped by the Coyotes' Chelsey Jones
SF State (8-8-2, 6-8-2 CCAA) had another chance late in the half to take the lead, when
Justine Hernandez's attempt went wide off of Williams' corner kick to send the match into the half scoreless.
Cal State San Bernardino took the 1-0 lead in the 51
st minute as Kristina Gomez connected on a ball from Jasmine Bell. Gomez went to make it 2-0 Coyotes three minutes later, but the Gator keeper once again came up with a stop.
The match remained 1-0 Coyotes until the 85
th minute, when
Michelle Kay connected on her second goal of the season off a ball from Williams to send the match into the extra period.
In the first overtime,
Andrea Carey's attempt for the golden goal was stopped by the Coyotes' Chelsey Jones in the 93
rd minute. The mach remained tied at 1-1 as each team's defense held the offenses with a shot attempt to send the match into the second overtime period.
The Gators had two attempts for the victory stopped by the Coyotes' Jones in the first three minutes of the second overtime. Ceja's attempt was stopped at the 101:59 mark and then six seconds later
Kara Cunningham's attempt fell short.
Then in the final minute, SF State's Jones came up with three huge saves including the final one at the 109:42 mark off the foot of Casey Hirsch.
The Coyotes outshot SF State 26-13 and also held the edge in shot on goal attempts, 11-7, and corner kicks, 7-5.
This was both teams' 2011 regular season finale.
