Box Score SAN FRANCISCO --- For the fourth straight game, the SF State women's soccer team played a double overtime game but this time the Gators did not get the win as they pslyed a scoreless tie with the visiting Cal Poly Pomona Broncos (3-0-1, 1-0-1 CCAA).
Annicia Jones recorded two saves en route to her 22nd career shutout and fourth straight of the season.
“We played well against a good Cal Poly Pomona team,” said SF State Head Coach
Jack Hyde. “Four points from the weekend is a good beginning,” added Hyde.
The game was evenly played as the Gators (3-0-1, 1-0-1 CCAA) outshot their visitors just 12-11. Each team recorded two shots on goal for the entire game.
The Gators had two chances to take the lead in the 53rd minute, but both attempts by
Kiley Williams went wide.
Emily Miller had two saves in goal for the Broncos, who had 7 corner kicks to the Gators three.
SF State will continue its five-game home stand this Friday, September 16th at 3pm, when the Gators host nationally ranked UC San Diego Tritons at Cox Stadium.
