Box Score SAN FRANCISCO— For the second match in a row, it was the SF State Gators defeating their opponent by a 1-0 score by connecting off a corner kick by
Kelsey Wetzstein. This time, the Gators (4-5-1, 3-5-1 CCAA) defeated Humboldt State in Arcata, Calif., as
Mariela Holguin connected on the corner kick from Wetzstein in the 47
th minute.

Allison Land had five saves en route to her fourth shutout for the visitors. Amber Woolcock, had three saves in goal for Humboldt State (3-6-2, 1-6-2 CCAA).
The 1-0 victory avenged an earlier 1-0 loss by the Gators to the Lumberjacks in San Francisco.
SF State controlled the match as the Gators had the 12-7 advantage shot attempts including 5-3 in shots on goal. They also held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Elizet Ceja had the first chance to give the Gators a 1-0 lead, but it sailed wide right in the sixth minute.
The only shot on goal attempt came in the 36
th minute as Land stopped Colette Behen's attempt to give the Lumberjacks the lead as the match was scoreless heading into halftime.
Two minutes into the second half, Holguin connected on Wetzstein's corner kick as he punched into the right side of the goal.
SF State had a chance to double its lead but Woolcock stopped
Graceann Rettig's attempt in the 50
th minute.
Humboldt State had a chance to tie the match late in the 89
th minute, but Land stopped Sydney Nicholas' shot on goal attempt.
SF State will return to the pitch on Sunday for a 2pm starting match with Sonoma State in Rohnert Park. The Seawolves lost 1-0 to Cal State Monterey Bay this afternoon at home.
