Box Score SAN FRANCISCO-- Cal State San Bernardino spoiled the SF State Gators' senior day this afternoon with 2-0 win over the Gators. SF State went 5-3-2 in its final 10 matches to finish the season 7-7-4 overall and 6-7-3 in the CCAA.

The Gators held a slim 13-12 advantage in shot attempts, but Cal State San Bernardino held a 7-3 shot on goals advantage. The Coyotes also held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.

With the win, the Coyotes finished the regular season with a 11-5-3 overall record including going 9-4-3 in the CCAA.

It looked like the Gators were going to take the early lead in the 24th minute, but Nicole Smith and Chloe Harrington each had their shots attempt blocked by the Coyotes' defense.

Cal State San Bernardino went down the pitch 24 seconds later and took the 1-0 lead as Jasmine Williams connected on a ball from Sierra Van Meter for what proved to be the game-winner.

SF State had two chances late in the first half to tie the match, but Alex Palomino and Mariela Holguin each had their shots sail wide right to send the match into the half with a 1-0 visitors' lead.

The Gators had a chance to tie the match in the 60th minute, but Mari Mendizabal had her attempt stopped by the Coyote defense. Two minutes later, Chelsey Jones had two of her saves in goal for the Coyotes as she kept Stephanie Vanni's attempt to tie the match for the Gators.

Cal State San Bernardino, who captured the CCAA South Division Title, sealed the match on Kellie Valverde's goal off a missed shot by Carissa Kutkowski in the 67th minute.

SF State had three chances in the final minutes either be blocked, sail high or be blocked by the Coyote defense as Cal State San Bernardino took the 2-0 victory.

Allison Land had five saves in goal for the Gators.
