SAN FRANCISCO –Four SF State Gators women's soccer players will be playing for the final time at Cox Stadium this Thursday, October 30 at 3pm when the Gators host Sonoma State. The Gators will be recognizing the following seniors:
Elizet Ceja,
Allison Land,
Allison Taylor and
Stephanie Vanni prior to the match on Thursday.
The Gators come into Thursday's match with a 7-8-2 overall record including a 2-7-1 record in the CCAA. SF State currently sits in tenth place in the CCAA. The top six teams after Thursday in the CCAA will advance to the conference soccer championships which start this Sunday, November 2.
SF State went 0-2-1 last week starting the week with a 0-0 double overtime tie with Hawaii-Hilo on Wednesday. The Gators came back with a 2-0 loss at Chico State on Friday and then lost a 2-1 double overtime heartbreaker on Sunday at Cal State San Bernardino. Elizet Ceja and
Autumn Fox lead the Gators with their four goals (two assists) and 10 points.
Kelsey Wetzstein leads the Gators with her 7 assists while
Allison Land has posted a 0.84 goals against average with 69 saves and six shutouts.
Sonoma State comes into Thursday's match with the Gators with a 13-4 overall record and a 6-4 record in the CCAA. The Seawolves are in fifth place in the CCAA, one game out of third place. They are led by Lauren Curtin's 10 goals (two assists) and 22 points. Margi Osmundson has a team leading six assists. Allison Hadidian has posted a 0.81 goals against average with 30 saves and 5.5 shutouts. Ashley Luis also has seen time in goal with 0.59 goals against average with 22 saves.
