SEASIDE, Calif. – For the second consecutive day late rallies proved to be the difference as the SF State softball team and host Cal State Monterey Bay drew a series split, with both sides winning today. The Gators took game one 5-4 before falling to Otters by the same score in the night cap.
"The team played well today," said head coach
Lisa Allen. "I am very pleased with the offense putting together so many hits. In game three, we came together well as a team to fight back and hold the lead in the seventh. In game four, we came back again and were a couple clutch hits away from the win. Overall it was a well battled weekend we grew as a team."
The afternoon kicked off with the two sides resuming game two from yesterday. With the score tied 5-5 in the bottom of the 11
th the Otters did not take long putting the game away. With one out in the bottom of the 11

Lindsey Cassidy (1-2).
Cassidy took the loss after pitching 3.2 solid innings of relief. Earning the win for the Otters was Bianca Noriega (2-1) who threw 4.1 innings of relief scattering one hit with four walks and two strike outs.
