SAN FRANCISCO-- The San Francisco State Gators will look to extend their unbeaten streak this weekend as they finish off their season long five-match road trip. The Gators have not lost since their season opening 2-1 loss to Central Washington, a string of eight straight matches. They are currently 5-1-2 overall and 2-0-2 in the CCAA, which places them in second place in the conference.
San Francisco State, under the direction of second-year head coach
Tracy Hamm, went 0-0-2 this past weekend in its two road matches in Southern California. The Gators played to a scoreless double overtime tie with Cal Poly Pomona on Friday evening in Pomona as
Christina Holguin had five saves en route to her 5
th shutout of the season. Then on Sunday afternoon, the Gators played to a 1-1 double overtime draw at Cal State San Bernardino.
Kimber Lohman scored the match's first goal in just the second minute off a perfectly executed cross from
Autumn Fox. This was Lohman's third goal of the season and Fox's team leading fifth assist. Holguin had four saves in goal for the visitors.
For the season, the Gators have scored 12 goals and recorded 13 assists with
Sierra Sagasta leading the way with four goals.

Natasha Gosiaco lead the team with their two game-winning goals. Holguin has posted five shutouts with a 0.27 goals against average and 24 saves in goal for San Francisco State.
The Gators are in second place in the CCAA heading into their two road matches this weekend. They are four points behind conference leader, Sonoma State, and one point ahead of third place Cal Poly Pomona. The top six teams in the conference at the end of the regular season makes the 2016 CCAA Soccer Championships. The top two seeds receive a first round bye, which is set for November 1. The semi-final and final matches are set for November 4 and 6 in Turlock, Calif., on the campus of Stanislaus State.
In the recent CCAA statistics report that was released this morning, five Gators are in the top 10 in six categories.
Autumn Fox is tied for first with her 5 assists while
Christina Holguin is first with her 0.27 goals against average.
Sierra Sagasta is tied for third with her four goals while she is tied with
Natasha Gosiaco for second with her two game-winning goals. Holguin is also tied for first with her 5 shutouts and seventh with her 24 saves.
San Francisco State will first face Cal State Dominguez Hills under the lights this Friday, September 30 at 7pm in Carson, Calif. The Toros are 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the CCAA. Their last match was on September 22, when they lost 1-0 to Concordia of Irvine. Cal State Dominguez Hills has scored 9 goals and recorded 8 assists this season in its first 7 matches. Abigail Ponce leads the way with her three goals with Ida Eriksson recording a team lead two assists. Ponce also leads the team with her two game-winning goals. Elisa Martin has posted a 0.28 goals against average in goal with 23 saves and 5 shutouts.
The Gators will then travel to Los Angeles this Sunday, October 2 for a 2pm showdown with Cal State L.A. The Golden Eagles are 3-2-2 overall and 2-0 in the CCAA. They have not played since September 18, when they defeated Stanislaus State 2-0. Cal State L.A. has scored 8 goals and recorded 7 assists in their first 7 matches this season. Victoria Arredondo leads the way with her four goals with Anahie Duran next at three goals and a team high three assists. Arredondo also leads the team with her two game-winning goals. Adriana Maldonado has posted a 1.07 goals against average with 31 saves and four shutouts.
After this weekend, the Gators will return home for a pair of home games on October 7 and 9 against the nationally ranked UC San Diego Tritons and Cal State San Marcos Cougars.
