SF State Hall of Famer Gil Haskell To Be Inducted Into San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame

SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco State Athletics Hall of Famer Gil Haskell headlines eight individuals who will be inducted into the 36th Annual San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame on May 19, 2018.

A 1966 graduate of San Francisco State, Haskell had a successful football career for the purple and gold. He was inducted into the SF State Athletics Hall of Fame in 1986 and is also a member of SF State's Gridiron Hall of Fame.

Haskell served as an assistant coach at USC for four seasons before embarking on a nearly 30-year career in the NFL. He coached for five different NFL teams and was the wide receivers coach for the Super Bowl XXXI Champion Green Packers in 1997.

Haskell attended St. Ignatius, where he graduated from in 1961. He wil will be recognized by the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame for his coaching contributions for football and track and field at both Riordan (1966-68) and SI (1969-77).
