SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State women's soccer team will host fifth-seed Cal State San Marcos in the first round of the CCAA Championships on Tuesday, October 30. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.

The Golden Gators, ranked No. 9 in the latest NCAA Division II West Region poll, are currently 9-5-2 overall and have secured fourth place in the CCAA. In their only matchup of the season, on October 5, the Gators bested the Cougars 1-0 at home thanks to a Tami Kwong goal in the seventh minute. Kwong, who earned CCAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors this past week with a pair of goals, leads the team with five on the season, which is tied for fifth-most in the CCAA. Her .710 points per game are ninth overall. In goal, fellow sophomore Nicki Rucki leads the CCAA with 5.69 saves per game. Rucki is tied for fourth with an .867 save percentage.

Tuesday will mark the Gators' first postseason appearance since 2010. That season, the Gators went on to win the CCAA Championships and made an NCAA Division II tournament appearance.

Since Tuesday is considered a postseason game, general admission will be as follows:
• $10 general admission
• $5 for students with a valid school ID as well as senior citizens 65+ and children 3-12 (children under 3 are free)

The San Francisco State Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that it will cover the price of admission for the first 200 members of the campus community with a valid Gator Pass.
