GUNNISON, Colo. — The San Francisco State men's wrestling team dropped all three duals on Saturday at the 29th Annual Tracy Borah Duals hosted by Western Colorado University. The Gators fell 51-0 to Adams State, 37-12 to No. 7 Colorado State Pueblo, and 35-9 to #19 Western Colorado.
The Gators ran into a very good Adams State squad. The Grizzlies recorded six pins against the Gators, who got no closer than a 3-0 decision at 133 pounds.
The Gators recorded wins at 165 and 184 pounds thanks to pins by
Maxamillian Schneider and
Justin Pichedwatana.
Gurrola bounced back with a 7-0 victory over Cody Fatzinger to even the match early at 3-3. However, that's as close as the Gators would get. Schneider pinned Hunter Mullin in just 41 seconds to finish 2-1 on the day. He moves to 7-2 on the season and has won five of his last six bouts.
The Golden Gators will next head across the southern border to RV Simon Fraser on Friday, January 18.
