COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) wrestling kicked back into action this past weekend after the holiday break with both dual meets and tournaments. San Francisco State's
Andrew Herrera was named RMAC Wrestler of the Week after a 5-0 week.
The 197-lb. sophomore recorded decisions in dual meets vs. Minnesota State University Moorhead and No. 23 Colorado Mesa, then followed that up with a decision, a major decision, and a fall at the Menlo Open to be named the individual champion in the 197-pound bracket. With the 5-0 week, he rebounded from a slow start and now stands at 7-6 on the season.
This weekend, the Gators will head to the 29th Annual Tracy Borah Duals on Saturday, January 12 at Western State in Colorado. The Gators will face No. 11 CSU Pueblo, No. 17 Western State, and (RV) Adams State.
