CHICO, Calif. — The San Francisco State men's soccer team took an early lead but lost a heartbreaker in overtime, 2-1, on Friday night at Chico State.
 
 
 
	- SF State falls to 4-7-3/0-4-3 CCAA and remains in search of its first conference victory while Chico State improves to 5-8/4-3 CCAA.
 
	- Gustavo Ferrari netted his 12th goal of the season, giving him 30 points on the season. Both those marks are most among CCAA players. He entered play ranked among the Top 10 in all of NCAA Division II in total points and points per game. He was also ranked 12th in total goals in NCAA Division II.
 
	- Chico State held a 25-7 shot advantage, including 8-2 shots on goal.
 
	- The Wildcats also held a 6-0 corner kick advantage.
 
After a scoreless first half, the Gators got on the scoreboard quickly in the 47th minute when 
Evan Bjerke fed Ferrari for the game's first goal. The lead held until the 66th minute until Liam Duerksen fed Jacob Chong for the equalizer. The two teams went scoreless through the remainder of regulation and in the first overtime period. However, just 47 seconds into the second overtime period, Duerksen and Chong teamed up again to provide Chico State with the game-winner.
Jo Krumsvik got his second start of the season for the Gators and made a career-high five saves and allowed two goals. He faced 25 shots, the most taken by an opponent this season. Luis Albarran allowed a goal and made one save in the victory.
