MANHEIM, Penn. —  The San Francisco State wrestling team has cracked the Top 25 for the first time this season as the Gators come in at No. 24 in the third NWCA 2021-22 Division II Regular Season Coaches Rankings of the season. Joshua Fuentes Norikiyo holds steady at No. 5 in the 141-pound weight class.

Fuentes Norikiyo went 4-2 en route to a fourth-place finish at the 42nd Midwest Classic hosted by UIndy, including an overtime victory over then-No. 2 Christian Small of King. In a pair of recent Gators duals, the senior from Laguna Hills won by fall over CSU Pueblo's Devin Lueck and earned a 5-4 victory over No. 15 Colorado Mesa's Erik Contreras. However, Fuentes Norikiyo sat out SF State's last two duals due to injury.

The Gators return to the mat on Saturday, January 29 at Simpson. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. in Redding.
