SAN FRANCISCO – San Francisco State wrestling welcomes the addition of Nolan Hellickson to the coaching staff. Hellickson will work closely with the lightweights.

"I'm extremely excited to have Nolan working with our lightweights," lauded Head Coach Jason Welch. "Not only is he a great coach, but he is also a great role-model and training partner for our guys. It's a big deal for our lightweights to have him in our room now and to get the mentorship from someone like him."

Hellickson wrestled collegiately at Harvard and wrestled at the 125 lb weight class all four years. He earned All-Ivy League Honorable Mention during his Freshman campaign and was the recipient of Harvard's Most Promising Freshman Award. Hellickson received the EIWA achievement award during his Junior and Senior seasons and had his best finish at the EIWA Championships in 2018 when he placed seventh. He finished his career with a record of 54-45.

Hellickson graduated from Harvard in 2020 with a degree in Economics and was an active member of SAAC. He prepped at Southeast Polk HS in Des Moines, Iowa and won the Iowa High School State Championship at 126lbs in 2015.

The Gators start their season soon with their first dual meet on November 6 at Menlo College.
