BILLINGS, Montana – The San Francisco State men's cross country team ended their season at NCAA West Regionals, hosted by Montana Billings. The Gators raced in some of the coldest conditions of the season and placed 11th in the 10K with 345 points for their best place since 2016. The Gators placed higher than fellow CCAA schools Cal State Monterey Bay, Stanislaus State and Cal Poly Humboldt.
All five of the Gator point scorers placed in the top 100.
Evan Jackson and
Bailey Williams helped propel the Gators to a strong team finish at regionals with a pair of top 50 finishes. Jackson placed 41st with a time of 31:33.54 while Williams was 42nd with a time of 31:33.92.
Chico State, who won CCAAs two weeks ago, placed first in the West Region, followed by Western Washington and Azusa Pacific.
