Samantha Shim has garnered All-CCAA Honorable Mention at midfielder for the 2022 season.
The freshman from Cypress was the lone freshman on the 2022 Gators squad to log more than 1,000 minutes with 1,248. She scored one goal and registered two assists. Her goal came on September 3 in 2-1 non-conference loss at Central Washington. Her first assist came in a 2-1 non-conference win at Concordia and she assisted on
Sydney Yuen's game-winner in the 64th minute on October 2 at Cal State East Bay.
The Gators finished the season at 4-9-5 overall and 2-5-4 in CCAA play, resulting in 10th place. SF State, picked to finish seventh, battled through an injury-ravaged campaign and used 15 different starting lineups in 18 matches this season, using no starting lineup more than twice.
