How They Scored
  • Vallejos led the day off with a double and Lehua DeLeon followed with a double of her own to give the Gators a 1-0 lead early.
  • SF State added to the lead in the second thanks to Dani Guerrera's RBI double and an unearned run later in the frame.
  • A couple of doubles and a walk, followed by an error, tied the game in the bottom of the second and a Cassidy Romano sac fly gave SSU a 4-3 lead.
  • The Gators tied the game in the third with a two-out rally. Lexi Holihan doubled on the first pitch she saw and Guerrera drove in her second RBI of the day on an 0-2 pitch to tie it.
  • In the fourth, the Gators regained the lead. Vallejos doubled, moved up 60 feet on Kai DeLeon's single, and scored on a Lehua DeLeon sac fly.
  • The Seawolved tied the game again in the fifth. The Gators threw home but Reagan Hunt slid in under the throw to tie the game at 5-5.
  • SF State loaded the bases in the seventh with one out. They only got one run out of the situation but it was enough as Holihan, who came in to pitch in relief, helped her cause with a sac fly that drove in the eventual winning run.
