How it Happened

Hart's jumper with 4:16 left in the first quarter brought the Gators within one point of the lead. Hart would also be the only player to make a basket the rest of the quarter, scoring a lay-up to put the Gators up 13-12. The Broncos retook a slim lead during the second quarter, but the last shot of the quarter cut the deficit to one possession.

The Gomez-Hart connection proved to be a key part of the Gator's offense in the third quarter as the two connected on six baskets in the quarter including three consecutive baskets to give the Gators a 31-29 lead with 7:41 left in the quarter. The Broncos would tie it up but the Gator offense responded well and went up by as many as 16 points. The Broncos came within six of the Gators but SF State made a few threes to help keep CPP at bay.
