WBB | Four Gators Named to All-CCAA Team

SAN FRANCISCO - Four Players from the San Francisco State women's basketball team were named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association team as announced by the conference Tuesday evening. Taimane Lesa-Hardee, Mya Blake, Muirae Gomez and Jolene Armendariz were all named CCAA Honorable Mention. This is the most women's basketball players to be recognized by the CCAA in school history.

TAIMANE LESA-HARDEE


In Lesa-Hardee's third season with the Gators, the junior proved herself as an asset on both ends of the court. She finished the season with a team high 47 steals. Against Sonoma State on December 4, 2021, she stole the ball eight times en route to a win over the Seawolves. During the Gators game against Cal State East Bay on February 17, 2022, Lesa-Hardee scored her 100th career three, making her just the sixth Gator to achieve this feat. Lesa-Hardee was also named CCAA Honorable Mention for the 2019-20 season.

MYA BLAKE


The true freshman was tasked with being the Gator's primary ball distributor. She led the team with 241 points and was third with 42 assists. Blake set a career high of 20 points against Humboldt on December 2, 2021.

MUIRAE GOMEZ


The Gator's forward finished the season with a team high 135 rebounds and led the team in field goals with 93. Gomez posted four double-doubles during the season and scored a season high 24 points in the Gator's win over Cal Poly Pomona on February 26, 2022.

JOLENE ARMENDARIZ


Armendariz proved to be one of the Gator's best three point shooters and made a team high 45 shots during the season. Starting in all 21 games she played, she finished second on the team in rebounds with 128 and a pair of double-doubles. One of her best moments of the season was when she made a step back three to win the game over Humboldt on February 5, 2022.


The Gators finished the season 10-15 with an 8-13 conference record. They finished eighth in the conference.
