AZUSA, Calif.  – The San Francisco State men's track and field team made its furthest trip of the outdoor season and traveled to Azusa Pacific for the Franson Classic.

For the first time this season, the men raced in the Steeplechase. Finn Tyvoll led the way with a fifth place finish and a time of 10:11.76.

The rest of the Gator's distance runners raced under the lights as the 1500 Meter started at 7:10 pm and the 5000 Meter started at 8 pm. Gary Valle had the top finish in the 1500 meter at 14th with a time of 4:06.13. Evan Jackson lead the Gators in the 5000 Meter with a 13th place finish and crossed the line with a time of 15:27.36.
