Josh Tolentino and
Mason Boutain have been named to the 2021-22 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Wrestling Team as honorable mentions. All-conference rosters are voted on by the league's eight head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for themselves or their own student-athletes for any awards.
Boutain wraps up his career after six seasons as a Gator, having earned a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championships this season as a redshirt senior. The Benicia native first redshirted in 2016-17, then burst onto the scene with a 22-13 record. That season, he was named RMAC Champion at 157 pounds and and earned All-RMAC First Team honors. In 2018-19, injuries limited Boutain to a 10-5 record. In 2019-20, Boutain was ranked No. 5 in the nation at 149 pounds and was an All-RMAC First Team selection, finishing fourth at Regionals. This season, Boutain was ranked as high as No. 8 in the nation at 157 lb. and finished in third place at Regionals and punched his ticket to St. Louis with a 3-1 overtime victory.
Josh Tolentino's season highlights included a first-place finish at the Mike Clock Open, a third-place finish at the Menlo Open, a fifth-place finish at the Roadrunner Open, and a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Division II Super Regionals VI. In the Super Regionals, he scored a fall in the sixth minute over Simon Fraser's Jacob Alexander-Torres but fell by tech fall to No. 2 Sam Turner of UNK. He picked up a decision but dropped two more decisions to place sixth.
