WTRK | Gators Compete Well in First Meet of 2023

SEATTLE, Wash.  – The San Francisco State women's track team competed at the University of Washington Preview Meet to kick off 2023. The meet marked the first meet under new Head Women's Track & Field Coach David Thompson.
Macaria Moore-Bastide was the highlight for the Gators. Her personal best mark of 1.73m put her in second in the high jump. The mark is a provisional qualifying mark for nationals. It also is tied for third all-time in the indoor record book. 

Mattie Cecillio had another strong triple jump performance and placed fifth with a mark of 11.51m. The mark ranks fourth all-time. Assata Polk led the runners in the 200m and finished 17th with a time of 26.79.

The Gators will travel to Nex Mexico for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational on January 21, hosted by the University of New Mexico.
