SEATTLE, Wash. – The San Francisco State women's track team competed at the University of Washington Preview Meet to kick off 2023. The meet marked the first meet under new Head Women's Track & Field Coach
David Thompson.
Macaria Moore-Bastide was the highlight for the Gators. Her personal best mark of 1.73m put her in second in the high jump. The mark is a provisional qualifying mark for nationals. It also is tied for third all-time in the indoor record book.
Mattie Cecillio had another strong triple jump performance and placed fifth with a mark of 11.51m. The mark ranks fourth all-time.
Assata Polk led the runners in the 200m and finished 17th with a time of 26.79.

"This was a great rust buster effort coming off of winter break," stated Thompson. "It was a great team effort highlighted by Macaria's provisional High Jump qualifying mark. As a group, we will look to improve on this meet and try and get better every week."
The Gators will travel to Nex Mexico for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational on January 21, hosted by the University of New Mexico.
