SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco State women's soccer team fell in its final match of the 2023 season, 1-0 to visiting Cal State Monterey Bay at Cox Stadium.
- SF State finishes the season to 3-13-2 and 2-8-1 in CCAA action. CSUMB moves to 4-8-5 overall and 3-6-2 in CCAA action.
- The shutout was the ninth of the season suffered by the Gators.
- CSUMB outshot SF State 7-4, including 3-1 on goal.
- The Otters had a slight 5-4 corner kick advantage.
The Gators' lone shot on goal came in the 61st minute. After Cece Hallock's shot went off an Otters defender for a corner kick, Hallock had her shot to the bottom center saved. Play remained scoreless until the 73rd minute when Jordyne Puentes connected with Natalia Leroux for the eventual decider.
Kylie Tone made two saves for the Gators. Otters goalkeeper Aubrey McKessy made one save en route to the shutout victory.
