SPOKANE, Wash. - The San Francisco State women's track and field team kicked off its indoor season at the Spokane Invitational at the Podium, hosted by Spokane sports. The Gators had two NCAA provisional marks on the day and three indoor top-ten marks including one school record broken.
Amy Christensen, who currently holds both the indoor and outdoor pole vaulting records, opened the season breaking her own record and cleared 3.75m. Her mark, which is an NCAA provisional mark, ranks 16th best in the NCAA so far this season.

After fouling her first two jumps,
Mattie Cecilio jumped 11.69m in the triple jump to place fourth and record an NCAA provisional mark. She also jumped 5.31m in the long jump for the eighth best mark in program history. All-American
Macaria Moore-Bastide placed fourth in the high jump with a 1.66m jump, just .01 off from an NCAA provisional mark.
On the track side,
Zharia Dixon made her Gator debut with a time of 7.85 in the 60m, eighth best in school history.
Viviann Luong had a pair of prs in the 60m hurdles (9.70) and 300m (45.27).
Mina Tsai led a big Gator contingent in the 200m with a 20th place finish with a time of 25.91.

The Gators will have a break before competing in their second indoor meet of the season. They will travel back to Washington to compete at the University of Washington preview meet on January 13.
