DAVIS, Calif. – The San Francisco State women's track & field team had another split weekend. The distance runners stayed home to compete in the WCCAA meet featuring Santa Clara, USF, Gonzaga and St. Mary's. The rest of the squad traveled to UC Davis to take part in the Aggies Open. The Gators scored 30 points at the Aggies open, placing them fourth out of 11 teams.
Katy O'Brien had a personal best time in the 100m hurdle, running just under 16 seconds with a time of 15.99 to place fifth. The time is eighth best in the CCAA so far this season.
Essence Jackson had another strong day in the long jump, improving her season best performance with a jump of 5.19m, good for third at the meet and fourth in the conference so far this season.
A big Gator contingency ran the 200m with four placing in the top 10.
Dami Oyatayo placed third,
Zyah Harris-Bazuaye fifth,
Lauren George sixth and
Sabryn Knight tenth. Oyatayo had a season best mark.
