How They Scored

  • The Gators built a three-run lead in the third. Scott reached on an error and later moved to third when an error also allowed Kira Nilson to reach safely. Guerrera shot an RBI single through the left side, and Jordan sent a two-out RBI double down the left field line to make it 3-0.
  • The Lumberjacks got a couple of runs back in the fourth. Shelby Shanks drove home a run with an RBI double and a bases-loaded, two-out walk to Micaela Harris cut the lead to one.

How They Scored

  • SF State grabbed an early lead in game two of the doubleheader. Gonzales, in the leadoff spot with DeLeon sidelined, laid down a bunt single. Misasi moved up to the two-spot and followed with a sac bunt, and Gonzales scored on a two-out double to left by Guerrera.
  • The Lumberjacks answered in the bottom half of the inning. Harris singled and stole second, then Ciera Pyle singled her home. Pyle moved up a wild pitch, then a passed ball, and scored on an Izzy Starr groundout.
  • Cal Poly Humboldt opened the game up with a six-run second and put the pressure on the Gators with three more in the third. SF State got a leadoff single from Guerrera in the fourth but an inning-ending double play ended the threat, and the Gators went down in order in the fifth.
