PALO ALTO, Calif.  – The San Francisco State women's track & field team stayed local and competed at the Cardinal Classic at the Cobb Track at Angell Field at Stanford.

The meet was the first outdoor event for Macaria Moore-Bastide and Mattie Cecilio, both of whom had impressive meet performances. Fresh off an All-American performance at indoor nationals, Moore-Bastide recorded a provisional mark in the high jump with a 1.70m and placed third in the competition. Cecilio had a career best 5.34m in the long jump and season best 11.88m in the triple jump. The marks are the fourth best and top marks in the conference respectively. Viviann Luong had personal bests in both the 100m and 400m hurdles. She became the second Gator to clock under 16 seconds in the 100m and crossed the line at 15.81. She shaved off nearly three seconds from her previous personal best in the 400m and finished in 1:06.90.

The Gators top four performers in the 200m meter, Zyah Harris-BazuayeLauren GeorgeKaty O'Brien and Sabryn Knight, all put together personal best performances in the race.

The Gators will take some time off for spring break during the upcoming week and get back to competition the following week. Those that qualify will compete at the Stanford Invitational on April 1. The rest will stay home to compete at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic.
