WTRK | Three Gators Named Indoor Track & Field All-Region

NEW ORLEANS - Three student-athletes from the San Francisco State women's track & field team were named All-Region indoor honorees by by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.

Mattie Cecilio, Amy Christensen and Macaria Moore-Bastide all represent the Gators for the West Region.

Cecilio, who transferred from former CCAA rival UC San Diego, competed in indoor for the first time in her career this past season. In her final meet of the indoor season, Cecilio jumped 11.85m, fourth-best in school history.

Christensen, the current school record holder in indoor pole vaulting, also had a season best in her final meet of the season and cleared 3.66m.

Moore-Bastide has had a strong freshman debut this season. Her jump of 1.73m this season is the ninth-highest mark in the country. The highest recorded in Division II this season is 1:85m. Moore-Bastide is scheduled to compete at the NCAA Track & Field Championships in Virginia Beach on Friday, March 10.
